Making Teddy Special
Aimed to suit the
novice and experience bear maker alike this workshop will help you
master the techniques that will make your teddies really special.
We start the day with
a morning session devoted entirely to teddies face covering various
aspects such as
Insetting ears
Working with eyes
Plucking and trimming muzzles
Noses and mouths
Face painting
Face sculpting
Hair extensions
After a late lunch we
concentrate of the other end of our furries by looking at what we can do
to make his feet and paws extra special covering
Embroidering toes
Pulled toes
Other types of toes
Working with armatures
This is a comprehensive hands on workshop so there wont be a great deal of
time for note taking as a result each student will take home a copy
very detailed and comprehensive
pocketed and bound full colour workbook.
Requirements
To enable you to
practice the techniques covered in class you would need to bring with
you a head and foot from a bear you are working on, the parts would have
to meet certain criteria but all this would be discussed prior to your
attending the class and a suitable pattern can be provided is you feel
you have nothing suitable.
Since people usually prefer to use equipment they are familiar with you
should bring needles, scissors, a long a doll needle and a good pair of
tweezers.
