| Using the pictures above I created Smudge
below, a 10.5 inch Himalayan rat Rat made especially for Joanne Kirk
I used short dense mohair on the body, face, arms and legs
with suede and leather for tail and ears. The whiskers were made using stelilised horse
hair .
Smudge has individually hand sculpted feeties made from
polymer clay with cold porcelain claws, a squeaker, a
hand moulded leather nose, plastic pellets, glass
beads and steel shot filling in tummy, glass eyes - painted red,
airbrushed facial markings and a wired tail for ultimate posability.
